Try Scuba Diving with SSI
Have you never been scuba diving before and want to discover what it feels like to breathe underwater? During your first diving experience with diving RABAC, you will explore the fascinating underwater world of the Adriatic and get your first introduction to scuba diving equipment.
After an introduction to the equipment, basic safety rules and essential diving skills, you will enter the water together with your diving instructor. You will be accompanied throughout your first underwater adventure, allowing you to relax and fully enjoy this special experience.

YOUR FIRST DIVING CERTIFICATION
SSI Scuba Diver
Would you like to earn an internationally recognised diving certification but don’t have enough time to complete the full Open Water Diver course? The SSI Scuba Diver programme is the ideal introduction to certified scuba diving. You will learn essential diving theory and practical skills for safe diving.
After successfully completing the course, you will receive your SSI Scuba Diver certification. This allows you to dive worldwide to a maximum depth of 12 metres, provided you are accompanied by a suitably qualified dive professional.
What you will learn:
- Fundamentals of scuba equipment and diving theory
- Essential safety rules and diving skills
- Practical exercises in confined water
- Your first training dives in open water
- Safe diving under professional supervision
Your next step: Your completed SSI Scuba Diver training can be credited towards the SSI Open Water Diver certification. This means you won’t have to start from scratch if you decide to complete your full entry-level diving course later.
YOUR INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED DIVING CERTIFICATION
SSI Open Water Diver
The SSI Open Water Diver course is your introduction to independent recreational scuba diving. In this internationally recognised course, you will learn the fundamentals of diving theory, how to use your scuba equipment safely and all the essential skills needed to explore the underwater world with a suitably qualified dive buddy.
After successfully completing the course, you will receive your SSI Open Water Diver certification. As a certified adult diver, you can dive with a suitable buddy to a maximum depth of 18 metres, within the limits of your training and experience, without the supervision of a dive professional.

- Fundamentals of diving physics and diving medicine
- Planning and safely conducting dives
- Preparing, checking and handling scuba equipment
- Practical exercises in confined water
- Training dives in open water
- Handling special situations underwater

Are you already certified as an SSI Scuba Diver and would like to dive without mandatory supervision by a dive professional? With the upgrade to SSI Open Water Diver, you can continue your training exactly where you left off.
The training components you have already completed can be credited towards your Open Water Diver course. You complete the remaining theoretical and practical requirements and, upon successful completion, receive your SSI Open Water Diver certification.
