GET BACK IN THE WATER & PROGRESS

Refresher & Advanced Training

Looking to return to diving safely after a break or build on your existing experience? With the SSI Scuba Skills Update and Advanced Open Water Diver programmes, diving RABAC offers the perfect opportunities to take your next step.

SSI Scuba Skills Update

Has it been a while since your last dive? The SSI Scuba Skills Update helps you refresh your knowledge and practical diving skills. Together with a dive professional, you’ll review essential diving fundamentals and regain confidence in handling your diving equipment.

This refresher programme is designed for certified divers returning to diving after an extended break. It is not a new entry-level course and does not replace your existing diving certification.

SSI Advanced Open Water Diver

With the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver programme, you’ll expand your diving education through five different training dives. Deep Diving and Navigation are mandatory, while you and your instructor select three additional training dives from eligible SSI Specialties.

During these five dives, you’ll gain practical experience in different areas of recreational diving and further develop your skills. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive your SSI Advanced Open Water Diver certification. The completed training dives can later be credited towards the corresponding full SSI Specialty programmes.

DEVELOP YOUR DIVING SKILLS

Diving Skills & Equipment

Good diving skills make every dive safer, more relaxed and more enjoyable. With our SSI Specialties, you can improve your buoyancy, navigation and dive planning, become familiar with different types of equipment and expand your underwater capabilities.

SSI Perfect Buoyancy

Good buoyancy control is one of the most important skills in diving. In the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty, you’ll improve your trim, buoyancy control and movement underwater. This helps you dive more comfortably, optimise your gas consumption and better protect the delicate underwater environment.

SSI Navigation

Learn to navigate confidently underwater. In the SSI Navigation Specialty, you’ll practise using a compass, natural navigation techniques, distance estimation and different navigation patterns. These skills will help you find your way more easily, even at unfamiliar dive sites.

SSI Computer Diving

Modern dive computers offer much more than simply displaying depth and dive time. In the SSI Computer Diving Specialty, you’ll learn about the key functions of your dive computer and how to use it effectively when planning, conducting and reviewing your dives.

SSI Enriched Air Nitrox

In the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty, you’ll learn the fundamentals of diving with oxygen-enriched air. You’ll explore Nitrox dive planning, oxygen limits, gas analysis and the safe handling of different breathing gas mixtures. Depending on the course option you choose, you can earn a Nitrox 32 or Nitrox 40 certification.

SSI Dry Suit Diving

A dry suit allows you to dive comfortably even in colder water temperatures. In the SSI Dry Suit Diving Specialty, you’ll learn how to use your dry suit correctly, manage buoyancy and follow important safety procedures specific to dry suit diving.

SSI Boat Diving

Many fascinating dive sites can only be reached by boat. In the SSI Boat Diving Specialty, you’ll learn how to safely prepare for and conduct boat dives. This includes handling equipment on board, appropriate entry and exit techniques, and essential safety procedures for boat diving.
